See EI OLE ulme (minu jaoks...), see on kõige puhtam triller. Ja ehk veel täpsemalt tehnotriller.
Miks ta mul ulmeraamatute all ette juhtus on arusaamatu. Või no mitte päris... Igasuguseid trillereid ma viimase 10-20 aasta jooksul palju lugenud ei ole, nii et võrdlusmaterjal on mul kasin, aga minul tekkisid seda raamatut lugedes paralleelid Dan Browni loominguga - no näiteks Da Vinci koodiga. Ja see mahub ju meil Eestis vist ka ulme alla.
Sisu: natside allveelaev Antarktikas, inimese suur arenguhüpe 70 000 aastat tagasi, autism, mingi salapärane luurefirma, mingid immrid, geenid...
Kui veelkord Browniga võrrelda, siis Browni raamatutes oli selliseid huvitavaid fakte ja faktikesi mis näiteks minule üllatusena tulid ja mis huvitavad olid. Riddle'i raamatut lugesin ma üle 100 lehekülje ja ei leidnud midagi uut ega huvitavat.
Vaid mõned linnalegendid. Ainus märkimisväärne asi oli see, kuidas üks endine LKA agent raamatus põhjendas, miks ta 11. septembri terrorirünnakute ametlikku versiooni karvavõrdki ei usu:
"Igal terrorirünnakul peab olema oma eesmärk. 9/11 stiilis rünnakut saab korraldada vaid 1 kord. Miks ei püütud selle rünnakuga saavutada maksimaalset tulemust? 20-30 lennukiga sooritatud rünnak oleks ju kogu USA täielikku kaosesse viinud...
Seega miks rünnati vaid 4 lennukiga? Ei leitud rohkem piloote, ei viitsitud neid rohkem välja õpetada - jabur ju? Sel konkreetsel hommikul oleks lähedastelt lennuväljadelt olnud võimalik kokku vähemalt 30 lennukit üle võtta.
Miks ei rünnatud Valget Maja, Kongressi, CIA peakorterit jne.?
Miks valiti ründamiseks päev, mille kohta oli pikalt ette teada, et sel päeval on president Floridas?
Järeldus. Rünnakutega taheti vaid sõjahüsteeriat õhutada (edasise eesmärgiga Iraagi ja Afganistani ründamine) ning börsikrahhi tekitada (kes teenisid börsilanguse pealt kõige enam...)."
Aga nagu ma juba ütlesin, mina esimesel 100 leheküljel ulmet ei näinud ja et loetu isegi Ban Browni raamatutest kesisem oli, siis jätsin raamatu pooleli. Mul on nii palju tõeliseid ulmekaid lugemisjärjekorras, et kehva (? - no ega ma ju tegelikult ei tea, kui heaks lugemata jäänud 2,8 osa võivad muutuda) trilleri peale ei raatsi ma oma aega raisata. Hindeks seega üks.
